Shishito Peppers

$3.75

Capsicum annuum

I had these at a local restaurant and fell in love.  I ordered seeds and have been growing and eating them ever since!  Heirloom peppers from Japan brought to the United States around 1980.

Shishito peppers are sweet with an occasional hot one.  Typically eaten when green and crisp.  Fried or blistered in a pan they are superb!  Add a dipping sauce, usually made with soy sauce, garlic, honey or sugar.  They can also be pickled.
