Description
(Brassica oleracea var alboglabra)
Gai Lan AKA Chinese kale has thick stems and leaves with sparse florets. Unlike regular broccoli this is mainly eaten for it’s stems and leaves. The whole plant is edible but does not grow many florets or a head. I find it milder than regular broccoli. Its is eaten, cooked and grown like any other broccoli. Mainly stir fried in Asian culture. Can start 4-6 weeks and transplanted or direct seed. Tolerant to around 25°.
Ready 80-90 days
Average 75 seeds per pack
