Description
(Brassica oleracea var. italica)
Open pollinated and cultivated in the 1950’s for higher yields and more uniform crops. Compact heads with many secondary side shoots for continued harvest. Like all Brassicas the whole plant is edible! Warm weather will cause florets to flower.
Start seeds 6-8 weeks before planting out early spring and early fall. Germination 65-75°, 5-10 days. Space 18-20” apart. Can also direct seed in garden. Full sun, some shade in warmer months.
Ready 85-90 days.
